Carroll County GOP

Republican Clubs
in Carroll County

Announcement:

3-27-2010 Fundraiser for United States Senatorial candidate Jim Rutledge details...

The Carroll County Republican Central Committee welcomes you to our website. Please check elsewhere on this site for information about our clubs and activities. We hope you will join us in our party building, get out the vote and voter registration activities.

Our committee is comprised of nine members who are independent thinkers. Business people, Moms and Dads, retired, they bring different views and ideas to the table. Our meetings are held the fourth Thursday at 7:00 pm in the conference room at Carroll Insulation. For additional information, contact the chairman at 410.875.2748.

The mission of the Central Committee is to nurture and support Republican candidates for elective office. We do this in several ways; door-to-door literature drops, placement of yard signs, fundraisers, phone banking and voter registration. Success requires many volunteers willing to give of their time and resources. If you would like to help in next year's election, go to the volunteer page and complete the form.

I am a Republican because:

  • I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
  • I believe government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
  • I believe the proper role of government is to provide only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.
  • Finally, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Quotes from the past:
“[A] good moral character is the first essential in a man…….and your conduct here may stamp your character through life. It is therefore highly important that you should endeavor not only to be learned but virtuous.” --George Washington
This should be the example our young people follow as they begin their journey to leadership.

"[N]atural liberty is a gift of the beneficent Creator to the whole human race, and ...civil liberty is founded in that; and cannot be wrested from any people, without the most manifest violation of justice." --Alexander Hamilton
